PCIe C-Media CMI8738
The PCIe version of the C-Media CMI8738 comes with a ASM1083-PCIe to PCI Bridge and drivers install just like with the PCI version. For more modern computers, especially those that don't come with PCI, or just have a single slot, this is a great option for getting basic sound in Windows 98. I didn't have success with DOS however.
