The machine is easy to open and there are two memory slots at the rear, so I recommend upgrading to either 4 or 6GB of RAM. For storage you can use the 44-pin IDE port as well as a standard SATA port. I used a SATA SSD for this project. Windows 10 worked great, it finds all the drivers online, but Windows update can take a long time. Once everything is installed, I disconnected the machine from the Internet and without further updates the machine is fairly responsive. I can recommend an older 19" 1280x1024 LCD monitor, especially with the pixel perfect patch (which I have enabled by default), the image is terrific. It contains a few Demos and Shareware games, as well as Templates and Profiles ready to go. You will get a pixel perfect full-screen image, improved sound and the Roland MT-32 Emulator as well as Sound Font support for General MIDI is all ready to go.
Please let me know if there are any issues, I'll do my best to fix it ASAP.
